What have you learned since joining BITOG?

1. Most all name-brand oils are good.
2. Even Pennzoil is good. I'm not alone in a sea of nay-sayers.
3. There's a bunch of good people on this board.
4. There's a lot of BAD info floating around regarding lubrication.
5. This board should be required reading for every gearhead.
 
1. Just learned that GM's like heavy 30's, would like to see the proof for an L67, so i need to look

2. Motorcraft at 1.42 is better than GTX at more

3. Supertech is better than FRAM

4. Anything is better than FRAM

5. Nothing may be better than a FRAM

6. Rotella and Delo are good for my bike

7. Expensive oil doesn't mean clean motor

8. Not all products promoted on this site work for me.

9. I now have a oil problem. 13 filters for a bike and 15 quarts of oil for a car i don't have.
 
1) Synthetic oil is a waste of money for average driving in all but arctic climates.
2) 3K interval is wastefull for cars that fall under the 'normal' driving routines.
3) Price is not always the best indicator of quality in oils and filters.
4) Chevron/Havoline dino oils offer great bang for the buck.
5) UOA's are addictive.
6) OCD is more common than I thought, I don't feel so alone now.

Searching for an oil store in China seems really strange to the people who I'm sharing a ride with.

On the subject of oil it sometimes is necessary to end a sentence with a preposition.
 
I have learned that:

1) Expensive oil filters are a waste of money
2) Mobil 1 is way overrated
3) Amsoil is way overrated
4) K&N air filters suck balls
5) Pablo is funny as **** !
6) Redline is way overrated
7) Pennzoil causes sludge
8) Pennzoil does not cause sludge
9) Valvoline sucks
10) Valvoline is good oil
11) Oil addiction treatment is not covered by my health insurance
