what do you like in 9mm ammo ?

Ive considered reloading 9mm, but its not cost effective as just buying a loaded box for target shooting.
I concur that loading 115 ball ammo is a financial wash, especially if you don't already have the brass, and this is ignoring all the reloading equipment.

However, if you want to load Sierra 125gr JHP or 147gr HST sub rounds then you can save a ton of money over what those retail for...especially the subs. Blue collar reloading is the best place I have found for buying projectiles.

as mentioned if can get 124 grain at same price, I go with that, and it is a better defensive round.

Never had issue with white box winchester, but some guns shoot anything without issue. Those are Keepers.

What is that agura brand, that seems pretty cost effective and works well for me.

I have a little .32 cal, ammo super hard to find and expensive, I reload that just to be able to have it, and it cost the same a buying a loaded box.

If you're referring to Aguila, I have had excellent luck with their .22 ammo. Has a unique smell that some either love or hate!

I've never tried any of their centerfire ammo. I roll all of my own pistol & rifle ammo.

I'm 3 or 4 boxes into a case of Fiocchi "Range Dynamics" 9mm 115grain that was 24C/round shipped.
so far 100% ok.
I also shot a decent amount of blazer brass 115 and 124 9mm. also 100% ok.
Both fit my "brands I heard of before" requirement 🤣

Wow, I have scary more ammo in this house than I even realized. I just came across some boxes of a 9mm brand named Herter's Select Grade, 9mm Luger brass case 115gr. I bought for target shooting. Solid points. They are really very good looking all shiny clean brass right out the box. I now recall it was all I could find some years back. It was a time when a certain xxxxxsomeonexxxxx pulled something I was told by the gun shops at the time to mess up , slow down and pretty much make it extremely hard to find ammo for law abiding citizens for a quite some time. The stores were stocking up on lots of brands from Europe that many of us were unfamiliar with just like these. Herter's - Funny. To me the first impression from the box was this is English. NOT. The box has on the side of it "Made in Czech Republic." Really is pretty upsetting that the majority of my stash is the Winchester white boxes folks are finding are pathetic today compared to the quality there were once know for. Those Herter's 9mm cartridges are some of the best looking I have seen. I have mostly target rounds. But then a separate smaller cache of high powered hollow points from a couple different manufacturers for any serious gun use I hope never happens.

What is 'scary more'? If it's less than 10k rounds then it's 'nothing' :ROFLMAO:
:ROFLMAO: I am toast then! :ROFLMAO:

It is not at all near 10k since I have several other guns and calibers I have stocked up on too over the years.

Pistols, rifles, shot guns.... Some I know I will never pick up, load or shoot again. They are all going to end up given to my two sons at some point.

Herter's Select Grade, made in Czech Republic = Sellier & Bellot. That would explain why the stuff looks so good.

What headstamp?

Real tiny and tough to read. But I am pretty sure the stamp is "HRTRS 9mm Luger." Have to say. Those Herters' were bought and store a long time ago and not even looked at since. They are really nice looking quality. Hope they shoot (target practice) as good as they look.
Gonna have to dig down into some of my white box Winchesters and see if they are all alike or if I can tell there was a change sometime in between my different purchases.
