What are you eating right now?

Just got back after leaving to drive my wife to the airport for another elective trip. Extra hungry as my schedules all messed up today.

Homemade yogurt with frozen berries and peppitas on top.

Last night was a crazy night for dinner for my girlfriend and I. We had reservations for The Keg (a steakhouse franchise up here) but she was still in pain from a root canal so we decided to go somewhere else where she could get something else to eat that would be much softer to chew. So I suggested the Potato Bar, where she could get a Mac and cheese dish on mashed potatoes. We drove 25 minutes to get there only to find paper on the windows and a lock box on the door. They are permanently closed! 🫤 We drove another 20 minutes away to another area with restaurants and spotted the Piper Arms, a nice pub with a huge menu. We walk up to the door only to see ladders and construction going on inside 🤦‍♂️ We drive a couple of more minutes to Montanas BBQ. There was a long wait there so we got back in the car. We drove 10 or 15 more minutes to Chuck’s Roadhouse only to find the entrance full of young drunk idiots. No thanks. 😳 We then drove 10 minutes to another location of Chuck’s, and that’s where we ate. But I had the worst hamburger I’ve ever had in my life. It was so overcooked that it tasted burnt. By this time it was after 9:00 and so I didn’t send the burger back, even though I should have! Never in my life have I had such a difficult time finding a place to eat! 🫣

Sorry, I have no photos of that terrible burger 🤣

You need to try Konjac noodles. It's not a brand. Konjac is a plant that has almost no carbs. Companies make noodles and fake rice out of it. You can chow down on Konjac noodles and it won't hurt a diabetic or dent a caveman diet.
Do a web search for "konjac noodles" or order from Amazon. Even if they're a bit expensive compared to generic pastas, it's worth it to treat yourself once in a while.

Good to know; we've been experimenting with Soba noodles (y)
