How is the fasting thing? You following a plan to fast every so often? I have heard there are a bunch of ways people do it.
Is that something you have been into? Just started? Feel like saying what you think of it and how it is doing for you? I am
interested. Been losing weight (40# in 18mo) but real slow, shooting to drop maybe 20# more, so I am constantly looking for safe ways to attempt to speed it up without any drugs etc.... that it appears so many are pushing these days. Drug commercials on Tv 24x7 here.
A few of us in this thread do intermittent fasting.
I have been I/F for at least 16hrs but often closer to 19hrs each day for around 8 years.

For me it only helps with weight maintenance rather than weight loss. I have to do keto or carnivore for weight loss, even with careful calorie counting eating carbs prevents weight loss for me unless I eat severely under calorie but then my muscles suffer.

Thanks. My weight loss has come from things I do similar to keto or high protein from lots of beef. Beef is rated the most beneficial for my blood type O positive. I have found a great book that lists nutrition guidelines for each blood type.
The book , it has a separate section for each blood type. The author has included list that describe foods in separate categories. They are Neutral to Highly beneficial and then of course things to Avoid.

Very interesting and informative. I can tell by the way I feel when following it closely. From me feeling better or to feeling worse.
I truly can at times , tell by the way I feel if it makes any difference. I have closely followed the section instructions. I simply will avoid or consume as much "beneficial" and some of the "neutral " for balance while really working hard to laying off as many listed to "avoid."

It works pretty good for me and amazingly I am told for those who can really be very strict with it. I get on and off track at times just when it gets a bit boring and feels like too much of the same stuff over and over. Still, I have learned lots about nutrition from this book.

We had the usual weekend breakfast of bagel with cheese (asiago bagel and brie this morning), sliced apple, sliced avocado, mandarin sections and dried fruit (figs this morning).
Reasonably healthy and satisfying.
