What are you eating right now?

Chicken tenders, Brussels sprouts, half an avo, tomatoes, and one mummified egg. A glass of ruby red grapefruit juice mixed with juice from one lemon. All of the pulp is in there. As I do every morning I juiced one of my lemons but it turned out to be a tiny ruby red grapefruit. You see, I have a mixed-citrus tree. It produces lemons and grapefruits. I have never before seen a ripe grapefruit the size of a lemon.



The same size as an average lemon but rounder and with slightly darker skin

I could be wrong but I think Germans usually eat cherry tarts made with a streusel topping and the cherry filling is often loaded with cherry brandy. I'm sure they have American-style pies but those are not traditional German food. Pablo is an expert on German sausages and kraut so he may be able to elucidate.

I have no idea, I'm no German. That church has been having the feed every year since I moved here in 1984. They make, stuff and smoke the sausages themselves. My guess is the local paper will have an article in there about it next week. Good stuff!

I suspect for desserts the ladies just make and bring what they want. Always a large selection there.
I just need to find a ride, or someone to pick me up a to go package. But that sucks because you can't pick your own dessert.
