I was supposed to be on a flight to Asia right now- my Visa wasn't processed in time to depart today, I will depart Saturday. This is the meal we were to eat yesterday, instead we just ate.

Of note, my turkeys the last few years were very underwheleming- last year after brining and such, I swore off ever making a turkey. Wife didn't like that, so this year went with a turkey breast. Super duper happy going with a turkey breast. One can season the breast so easy in many different ways, and the breast cuts up wonderfully.

a first, made the stuffing in a slow cooker. Worked out well.

So this year, we ended up actually making pizza's for thanksgiving. Basically, the in laws were coming in and they requested them after having them previously...We didn't mind as we do similar enough at other times in the year usually with other proteins (stuffing, smoked/herbed pork tenderloin, etc...)

So we made one Sicilian style and two 18" NY style pies. Different sauces and doughs style for each type.

They loved them (again), thankfully!

Top to botom:

Half fennel sausage and green pepper, half pepperoni and banana pepper.

Half cheese, half supreme (pepperoni, sausage, olive, green pepper, onion)

And a full cheese.

5 pound sirloin. 3 hours at 250 on the Traeger and then wrapped in the oven at 350 until about 170 internal. We like the roast on the done side. Spiced with some salt, pepper and garlic powder. Some onion flakes, carrots and soy sauce in the cast iron. It was the tastiest roast I have ever had. Hands down.

Looks good. Over done for me, but smoked still GOOD.

Thin sliced on a pizza. The bomb.
