My mother in law made chili last weekend.

What's your secret for consistently getting such nice looking avocados?

I buy a bag 5 or so at a time and when all ripe. Place advocodos in a bowl with water till covered set in refrigerator and will keep for a week and stay the same.

Just water, no acid, such as lemon or lime juice? Man. it would be great if I could keep a couple around and not feel that I've gotta eat 'em quickly. Acid or not, it's something I'll try.

I never believed it either till I tried well SOAB it works no acid just water. Don't doubt the boys south of the boarder that's who gave me the tip.

You don't need to cover them. Put the avocadoes in a large enough receptacle and add water; we do this all the time and it works.
