King Beheaded Over Bread

The Execution of King Louis XVI: A Result of Economic Crisis and Political Unrest In 1793, King Louis XVI of France was executed by guillotine due to the tumultuous events of the French Revolution. While the Revolution was sparked by a complex array of factors, including Enlightenment ideals and social injustices, economic crisis and bread shortages played a significant role in the king’s downfall.

Rising Prices and Bread Riots

The cost of bread, a staple food for the majority of the population, had increased dramatically, leading to widespread protests and riots. The nobility refused to pay more taxes, and the peasants were unable to afford the rising prices. Even King Louis XVI, who was known for his love of hunting and locksmithing rather than governing, recognized the gravity of the situation
Let's face it. The French just enjoyed looping off heads so much they even mechanized the process.

Just popped an overloaded roasting pan in the oven with beets, Brussels sprouts, potatoes, carrots, onions, a whole head of garlic, olive oil and herbs. Should be enough for several meal's worth of sides.
