What are you eating right now?

Dashi ... made a very basic dashi today to be used as a basis for a miso broth for some soups I'm planning to make later this week.

Forgot to push post on the other one. 1.5 hours at 300 and the thermometer pushed in like butter. Was around 205 internal when I let it rest. It began to fall apart. Great flavor!! The fat was rendering out and the remaining fell off. I did not notice any real flavor difference from the cherry as opposed to apple pellets but thats ok, I'm not a pro. Tossed in a little Bullseye and its ready.

Bagged kale salad w/bagged coleslaw/ pulled a roasted supermarket chicken. Warm brown rice in the bottom. Wished I had some red bells or cherry tomatoes to offset the beige but didn't have any on hand.

I love cooking but sometimes you have to take the express route. Was delicious 😋
