What are you doing right now?

Taking a break from cutting grass.
Ditto. Mom's yard yesterday, mine today. My yard is almost double hers. And mine wasn't able to be cut for about 3 weekends due to rain happening when I planned to mow. I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised; despite my yard looking more like a meadow for grazing, the mower handled it and didn't leave clumps of grass as it tends to do when I let the grass get too long.

Does your dad make much coin owning his own semi?
He could make way more than he does but he is picky about runs. I make more than him and my mom combined for two weeks if that says anything. This week was the most he’s made in years. His company takes 35% of each check for use of a trailer and other stuff.

Just switched insurance cos from AmFam to Progressive and will save over $2k a year. It will be both auto and home. As many people have said on here already, it pays to shop, regardless of how long you've been with a company. I've been with them since 1989 and thought my guy was "taking care of me". But, my costs are out of his hands as it is corporate that mandates rises in premiums and he just fields all the angry customers! 😊 Never thought it would be THIS much in savings, though, considering all I've heard about rising rates! Might have to play "the game" from now on.
I thought it was weird, too, that AmFam charges separate costs for each vehicle, while Progressive charges once for liability, uninsured, underinsured and medical then the rest is separate. I mean, what difference does it make if I hit someone with the 4R or the GT?🤔

I’ve only been with two insurance companies my entire life! The first one was from 1986 until about 2014, that was State Farm. After my original agent retired the service went downhill and my rates were going up too high. So I switched to Belairdirect and saved $50 a month and they have kept my rates steady ever since. My recent renewal went up by only $2 per month. I now pay $222 per month for my 2016 Civic and 2018 Corvette. That works out to $161 US.
