What are you doing right now?

We made it to our first stop in at a Buc-ees the other day. If I must admit , nothing to get wild about. About what we have all heard. I would say worth the stop/visit if one has time on the road trips to kill. Impressive was despite the crowds , there are many places to check out your purchases without any long lines or hold ups. One thing I think should be there that is not is places to sit. NONE.

I will say it was really nice for what it is. Plenty of room, extremely clean, (likely the cleanest roadside gas station/convenience store/restrooms one will find) well stocked with type of things you would expect ..... Plus even a bit more than what one would expect.

All sorts of things like your traditional tourist trap road side store collectibles. A pretty big selection of clothes, shoes, etc...
Oh, and the kiddie toys galore. I found several nice , decent priced , quality made toys to bring to the grandkids.

Very large selection of processed and fresh food products. From all sorts of smoked meats, home made jerkies , sausages , candies , pizza, pastries etc... Of course the main food attraction is their large selection of giant sized sandwiches. There was four of us together and we all chose something different. From pulled pork, beef brisket , chicken and smoked ham.... I had beef brisket and could barely eat 1/2 it was so large. All agreed the food items we bought were very good.
A stop at a Buc-ees is worth it. Why? Well in all my highway travels for many years I have never seen any rest stop type facilities so nice and clean that has just about every/any thing a traveler could look for like they have on hand.

Buc-ee's has spread East to Florida and North as far as Colorado, Ohio and middle of Virginia.
It's an interesting waste of time with some good sandwiches and lots of different jerkies if you're goin by and have time. I don't see how they can afford a bazillion gas pumps at each one. I've never seen more than 6 cars at the 50+ pumps they all seem to have.

Seems like wherever you live they're not warranted.
The guy that posted however looks like he lives in a beehive of activity for them🤷‍♂️

I find them handy and the girls like the restrooms …
They have allot of procurement leverage - and if I’m walking past the gift shop things (where the girls stop) - I find windshield fluids and things like that at a decent price …

The mother hive is in Texas. They're sparsely spread across the Old South with fewer as you go North. Maybe 60 open in total.
The big’un in Luling Texas had to expand to keep up …
I stopped just to see it - get a Coke/snack - but normally head into town for the more famous BBQ …

Yeah, well, I worked with a Texican that moaned and groaned there wasn't a Buc-ee's closer than two hours from Washington DC. I guess if you're GenX or younger from Texas then Buc-ee's may be the most exciting thing in town. 😜

Had to get a blood test which I ordered online prepaid. Went to Labcorp and the lovely counter lady started barking orders and running her mouth. I told her I didn't need a license or insurance card as it was prepaid.
She sent me back to the waiting room where I met his lady about 40 years old and she said she overheard how that clerk lady abused me... I told her she doesn't know it but I went to school with her and I'm going to give her a wonderful review and several people laughed as they were abused too...

I wouldn't be surprised if someday somebody slapped her hard...what a caustic jerk

The bathrooms were immaculate, urinals each have their own cove, not just a wall divider, along with a dedicated Purell dispenser.

I don't see how they can afford a bazillion gas pumps at each one.
I looked around for a windshield washer squeegee and then realized, doing this for IDK 100 pumps would be a full time job just to maintain all the washer fluids and towels!

I just gave a walking tour to a group of 9 people from Texas and I was telling them that I had a group of 4 from Texas yesterday. One of the girls told me that she had found out that friends of hers just coincidentally came to Niagara Falls yesterday so she texted her friend to find out if by any chance they did my walking tour and It turns out her friends actually were my guests yesterday! What a small world! 😎

Just done some maintenance on the mower. I was bored and got kind of bored with all my deodorants so I needed something else to do for a bit lol. Plus I wanted to knock the dust off my home tools and get them out and use them. I still am into deodorant and cologne so don’t get the wrong impression lol 😂.
Could put some cologne on those tools so they smell good while wrenching. 😄
