What are you doing right now?

Hmm. Watched a video about how one should retire as soon as possible, once they hit 60. Would be nice... but I don't see it. Too far off though.

Going back to work, reached a point in this project where I just want to hammer it out. Would be nice to do something else... but work is relaxing. At least it doesn't cost me money, that's what it has going for it the most.

My original plan when I was still with my ex wife was that both of us would retire at 52 but then after we split up I figured that I would work a few more years but I was basically forced into retirement at 53 anyway. But in the end I’m very happy being retired but having my new part time job as a Niagara tour guide. And I’m having the time of my life right now doing that. I think that most people should retire early from their original career and then find something way less stressful to do for the rest of their lives that will keep themselves busy

Taking a break from the computer for the evening. Spent free time the last couple of days cleaning out my e-mail account. The Yahoos at Yahoo! sent me a nastygram that if I didn't get my storage down to under the new 20GB limit, I wouldn't be able to get or receive e-mails until I either did so or paid for more storage.

And I wasn't about to pay for more storage...

We've first got to get one kid through college, then pay off the house, then I figure I'll be 60. But health insurance is the 800lb gorilla in the room, plus I won't be able to put away towards retirement for the next decade that I'd like to be.

Eh. Too hard to make plans that far out.

It’s a typical summer day for me, woke up at 5:40, got here in Niagara Falls around 8:15 and I will be here doing tours until about 2:30-2:45. Our new guide will be doing a 12:00 tour and the 4:00 so I can head over to my girlfriend’s place sooner since we are having a BBQ at her parents place tonight. It’s a long weekend up here so it will be a busy weekend at the falls. We are just two bookings away for beating our record number for a single day (our record is 42 people)

Hopefully the mist from the falls doesn’t reach the parking lot where my Corvette is sitting. The last two times I have brought it the mist made it there and it leaves very very hard water spots on it because of all of the limestone and other minerals in that water. Drives me crazy 😵‍💫
