Arguing about going out to eat with her dad tomorrow. He is bringing his new partner after leaving my MIL and I dont know how to digest this. Apparently this new guy is great and ive been told to be on my best behavior which includes no political, no grunt t shirts, cant drive my car which has a rattlesnake license plate, etc. Hoping I come down with cv19 again so i can skip out. Shes wants me there to keep her in line but im supposed to be the responsible one lol.

Wow. So much to unpack here. I wouldn't walk a mile in your moccasins in you paid me. A lot.
 
Just finished installing a TV wall mount and hanging a new 50" TV on it for my daughter.

Side note: If you don't currently own a Franklin Sensors Stud Finder, get you one. Best/easiest stud finder I've ever used!!!

We just got back home from sitting in traffic for 2 hours to get gas only for them to sell out when 2 cars from the pump. We were not prepared for the damage from this hurricane as it wasn't forecasted to be bad here. Some gusts reached double what they predicted here. We have 4 trees down on our property, one hit and snapped the power line going to the house. With so many trees down, the road out of our neighborhood wasn't accessible until after 5 pm.

Well I had planned on getting up and firing up the griddle to make some sausage but as I was heating it up and getting all the stuff ready mom is like oh I told them (my sister and brother in law) we would just go up there to work on their car. So now I’m livid because it’s too hard to transport stuff in a small car to work on and a filthy oil drain pan and everything else. They were going to come down here where all my tools are and don’t have to lift a hundred pound jack into the trunk of a car. For some reason my mom doesn’t like anybody coming to our house. I’m like well thanks for ruining my Saturday plans. Now that’s 50 miles each way that we have to travel plus transporting stuff. And I had to wrap the sausage back up because we are getting Hardee’s or McDonald’s to eat on the way.

Id have felt the same way you are. If while your out you stop by a Chick Fil A for breakfast, find out if @Pablo has any more information about his depressed chicken. I suspect if not then it made it to the fryer at the restaurant and it has bigger worries now.

Simple solution. "No, all my tools and equipment are here and I am not going to lug that ton of stuff when they can come here. Unless of course they want to pay $50 per hour labor instead of drive here and get it for free." Now if they are paying you something either way then adjust that but I presume it is all expected for free.

Exactly that’s why I don’t like doing family work. They want the discount parts through my work then don’t want to pay anything. I had it arranged for them to come here but then other family says something different.
