What are you doing right now?

Took a hike down to the pasture to check my mole traps. Then hiked the trails to check out the beaver damage. It was a bit late in the morning so none spotted on the river. I did spot some fresh moose tracks along a beaver trail. The thing came up quite a steep and slick embankment before stepping over the fence.

I love quadding and sledding the trails but it's been many years since hiking this sort of stuff. Hating outdoor walks was one of the several gifts the army gave me many years back. It was nice to actually enjoy it.

Just slid eleven bags of salt to basement. Then had stuffed-cabbage casserole! OMG, wife can cook!
Reading this thread, looking for anything/everything. Like the oil/filter stockpiles👨‍🌾

We drive to Cocoa Beach every year for a week. Hit a couple CBs for food, BR breaks.
Was coming home one year. Kentucky at 830pm, ordered a Reuben without looking at menu.
Don't bother, people in the South don't have the pleasure of knowing corned beef! So sad:(

Looks like I can steal my son's car so as to have wheels for the day. I think I'll treat myself to a sub from the grocery store, then take my bicycle to the rail trail and spend the afternoon there. Wife gave me permission and all.

Pricing out parts for an AMD AM5 PC build for a gift. Necessary parts come out to $800, not including a GTX 1650 graphics card which I will reuse from an old build.
Was considering a Mac Mini but even a decent specced Mac Mini (for a 16GB system, 8GB is a joke) a custom built PC still comes out ahead.

Compiled a build list, should be good for futureproofing if planning to upgrade the graphics card.

Not peak foliage yet. But still a great 50 mile ride. Picked up a stick somehow, and it bent the front fender onto itself, which locked up the front wheel--I was able to unclip before coming to a stop. Otherwise, simple ride, no flats, which is always a good thing.

Starving now...

Exactly that’s why I don’t like doing family work. They want the discount parts through my work then don’t want to pay anything. I had it arranged for them to come here but then other family says something different.
The should have come to you, and brought some lunch for all with them.

Just got done watching post season baseball playoffs. Kansas City Royals, Detroit Tigers and San Diego Padres have all made it to the next round. Milwaukee Brewers and New York Mets will be decided tomorrow. I really wanted to see the Orioles advance. I won’t be getting that $50k now lol. Every year I enter in the drawing where if you project the playoffs and World Series exact then you get $50k and tickets and all expenses to the World Series paid. I predicted Orioles and Padres in World Series so I don’t get anything. Dang lol. Time to root for a Padres-Guardians World Series or Tigers even though that would be a rematch of 84 and if they play the Yankees it would be a rematch of 98 which I don’t want lol.

Padres Mets would be something if they meet on NL side but haven’t looked at that possibility

Astros done quickly. Hate the hankies.

Padres v Tigers

Rematch of 1984 haha. Yeah Padres and Mets impossible for World Series. Hopefully they stomp the Dodgers in the NLDS.

Getting ready for another trip to Australia to visit our daughter, son in law and 2 grand kids (daughter had the second baby about a month ago). And now I'm arguing with my wife about how many pairs of shoes she has packed (I have 2 pairs total and I'm wearing one). At this time the weather is great from MSP-SFO-AKL_BNE so I don't see any delays. I'm definitely going to get some photos of the vehicles we don't have here in the USA (mostly Holden V8 Utes).

I’m reading about the Bally Sports network bankruptcy and how the surprised the MLB with dropping 12 teams and only keeping the Braves as it was their highest market team. I’m hoping this pushes MLB to make a fully functioning non blackout service that doesn’t glitch like the current service with blackouts.

I can totally see how NBA, NFL and major league baseball would be super alarmed about losing the local nature of team sports with online streaming. Just imagine if people started mainly watching the popular teams that were winning and near the top and didn't go see local games. Plus, when you've got a 10 foot TV at home, there's less need to go to the game. Bye bye $$$ for all the average teams.
