Can not say anything negative about that filter, it did a good job as well.

Carbon, or called soot. The Liquid Moly cleaner did a good job. The carbon was piled toward the dome end more. Ford used to like the bypass at the thread end, not sure they do it now. I can see why in extremes like this one. A lesser capacity filter would have been blocked I am guessing.

As opposed to having excessive blow-by or some other problem and it normally produces that amount of carbon residue.

Yes, the blow-by left some carbon in my filter. Other than that my filter was super clean. But this Lincoln engine is a disaster.
I am running HPL Premium Plus 0w16 right now, lets see how my filter looks with HPL in a month.

Just color me skeptical that this is any indication that the Pennzoil High Mileage was the reason as you noted. There’s nothing in that video that would indicate that.

Vehicle owner should do a few shorter runs with VRP, that is a disaster. probably a good thing he ran a boss over a more efficient filter as they likely could have plugged it up.

The guy did engine flush a couple of years ago and didn't follow it with some short OCIs. Maybe it is just all that crap that any oil would take out?

No advertisement, this guy opens up all brands of filters, any brand, you name it. His name is Pete, people send him oil filters. I did it too, and I'm doing to do it again.

Other than mentioning the brand of filter , exactly at what point did it turn into an advertisement ? It didn't .

This Lincoln needs some short oil changes.

WCW doesn't know the Boss efficiency was updated by M+H after the pres of M+H got involved with their spec sheets and saw the discrepancy, and said the spec sheets are the correct info. All the stuff that filter caught was big stuff, way larger than 46u. Lots of debris smaller than that got through.

WCW knew the they changed it to 46. No need to know more for his video. Whether he knows the back story, you don’t know. The reason it was changed being the office staff who answers emails and phones send out 46. Now they don’t send out anything, and the spec sheets still don’t match the other models.
Seethe website they say, like all the other filter companies you look at.
Some even look at Amsoil written data, not written by the test company, like Andrew’s numbers. They take that unverified Amsoil data, second hand data, from 2011 and promote it so hard here that in 2025 people still believe the unverified data must have been carved by Moses.
