in/on: 5 quarts Valvoline EP HM 5w-30 and 1 quart HPL EC30 with Carquest Premium 84502

very dirty filter and it doesn’t look the best but did its job.

Looks like the Valvoline EPHM did a fair amount of cleaning.

The oil does looks dirty <6k miles. Filter does look like it did its job at the oci. That said, for a 20k mi. 'rated' filter, nothing to brag about imo. Bypass seal area looks better than many/most, might even pass a flashlight test.

Looks good to me. Valvoline definitely did cleaning in that engine.
