One cold start in 600 miles on the highway, the secret to a million miles. Last time I checked a Taco made it to 1.6 million miles. The gentleman delivered medical supplies all over the East Coast. And it was a four banger too.^^^ Yeah, lots of steady cruising on the highway is easy on the engine. Low load (means lower wear), good operating temps (helps keep oil cleaner from combustion blow-by and fuel dilution), way less cold start-ups over the life of the engine, etc. I think the 1M mile Toyota was mainly a highway cruiser.
