Just purchased new tires for the wife’s truck, not even installed yet, and yesterday I came out and saw a large gash in the tread of my 2011s driver front tire. Edges look a little worn so it’s been there a minute and you can definitely see the belt. Tire are 285/70r17 walk peak at3w measuring 12/32 after 40k miles. New is 19/32. DT will pro rate a new tire for $140 plus install, which is pretty fair if you ask me… except I’m a little hesitant running a tire with about 1/4” more tread on my 4wd/LSD truck.
