I remember we tried Tilapia once. If I remember it was kind of bland tasting but that might have been how the cook prepared it. Wife hasn't bought it for us so guess she prefers other fish. I know shes like lobster.
We generally have Salmon and Halibut for fish. Wife likes to smoke salmon too. Sturgeon a few times where we can get it. Striped bass on occasion. Trout on rare occasion too, the pink meat trout, not the store farm white meat.
I miss fresh caught c r a p p i e. She has cooked largemouth/smallmouth/spotted bass but been years.
Some folks are mentioning Tilapia are bottom feeders. Aren't catfish bottom feeders? Seems catfish sells well at the fish market.
