In HI they lock up SPAM
That reminds me a a very old joke. There have probably been instances of people just walking out the door with them.
I saw someone at Home Depot years ago, get busted for filling up a storage bin with spray paint cans. Looks innocuous if you have a storage bin in your cart, but with the top on, it is suspicious.
They just walked out the door but store security, apparently an undercover employee, followed them out, opened the bin and the guy took off.
I heard that a few years back. Apparently a true delicacy in Hawaii! In HI they lock up SPAM
I believe shotgun shells, no more 9mmYour Walmart sells ammo?
Our son is currently stationed at Seymour-Johnson AFB. But going to another AFB in Louisiana next year. I am thinking it will be a poorer area than Goldsboro.I've been TDY to Seymour-Johnson AFB many times over my career. When you said "Goldsboro" you answered your own question. The city is a cesspool with rampant crime and theft. Actually surprised Wal-Mart hasn't left.
Employees are trained to only ask to check the receipt if the alarm at entrance goes off. Nothing else. The store security are trained to do more. But these days with video they can catch the thieves days later. Before they had to watch you walk out of the store with at item you did not pay for.Yep.
I saw a guy walk out with a big screen TV and hopped into a waiting Ford Explorer.
Employees did nothing but watch the theft take place.
I am talking about all the car batteries. Most of the places around here have been securing the lithium batteries for years. Like the Sudafed that is locked up, it makes it slightly more difficult for DIY meth(amphetamine) makers to do some home cooking. I'd personally like to see them easier to steal so more could blow themselves up.
Not even shot gun shells hereI believe shotgun shells, no more 9mm![]()
Good picture, sorry for your pain, maybe they should just do On line salesThey've been locked up in my local Walmart for the last couple of years. Along with the cleaning supplies:

Thanks, but it doesn't bother me. I don't shop at Walmart anymore.Good picture, sorry for your pain, maybe they should just do On line sales
Being 'poor' doesn't make stealing acceptable although some of our leaders think it does.Goldsboro is a poor area unless in USAF.
I wonder the reason?
Just realized that. Our local Wallys don't lock those up, but they aren't near any door where someone could just walk out with them. Now bicycles in the Garden Center right beside the fire exit? If we were bored, we'd go sit near that door (it was in the shade too), and wait for the bikes to come popping out, which didn't take long. The really out of shape thieves would just roll them back inside when they saw us, but the more athletic would try and ride off. They never got farI am talking about all the car batteries.
There is a lot written on the phenomenon. It’s too bad it’s high in sodium and fat because it makes a lot of sense. It requires no refrigeration which is a big plus in Hawaii and it’s been around long enough that multiple generations enjoyed it.I think it's more of a staple food there, McDonald's has SPAM and rice meal there.
My local dollar store has the deodorant behind a door that beeps when you open it. I can deal with that. Needing to find someone to unlock a cabinet is annoying. This locking up stuff for sale is getting really weird. A few months ago I went to our local CVS for some deodorant, and it was locked up behind a glass cabinet. Maybe between paying $1200 a month for cars, and $1,000 for phones, people have to steal the lesser things in life to get by.,,
I know one that still sells gunsYour Walmart sells ammo?
