Was in my local WalMart this morning and they've put the remaining Mobil 1 filters on a clearance end cap, and there are none left on the main shelves. The only WalMart filters now are lots of Fram, a decent selection of SuperTech, a few Motorcrafts and Mopars, and a few Delcos. Don't know if this is just my local or a trend.

I have never seen M1 filters at wally world either...Arnt the cans black on those filters

That's all I've ever seen at Walmart.

After the massive renovation to our local WM the car care center disappeared to make room for a half axxed grocery store. no more tires, batteries, less oil selection and only fram filters last time I was there. I don't understand this conversion from a plain WM justifies the new title "Super WM"

You can have a nearly worthless one near my parents' house.

That store must have the worst manager in the whole Wal-Mart chain. There's always plenty of stock missing on the shelves throughout the store, and the selection is nothing like the other two Wal-Marts in the area.

For example, this Wal-Mart doesn't carry MaxLife in the 5 quart jugs, when the other two Wal-Marts in a 10 mile radius carry MaxLife in the 5 quart jugs, in both 5w30 and 10w30 weights.

When I asked the manager of the automotive section about the lack of MaxLife in 5 quart jugs, it was "dumb looks are always free".

Our 2 Walmarts (in Cental Oregon) have never carried Mobil 1 filters.

Both carry a fair variety of oils. One is a Super WalMart which carries a larger variety of oil products than the regulat WM.

Filters: Fram (lots), Motorcraft, AC Delco and SuperTech (WM brand). **Wish they would carry Purolators!

And at Sears in the automotive department.

Walmart is in the business of selling what sells.

My guess is that Mobil-1 Filter did not move enough units, so off it went.

That just shows what the cost is on those things, they are at least doubling their money for each one sold.

My local walmart has mostly fram filters, a few supertech, a very few delco and mopar filters, a few motorcraft and that is about it.

I'm still waiting for them to carry the delco cartridge oil filters, but they do not yet.

Never seen an M1 at a WM here myself. Add me to the list.

They had one or two on the shelf when I did my semi-annual oil aisle survey. They appeared to have more ST's than usual ..Mopar filters in two sizes and the usual (for this store) compliment of MC's and AC's. It really varies over the longer span. I've been there when you could barely see an ST due to how it was compressed in shelf space.
