One of the best deals I’ve seen on synthetic oil here in a while. It’s too bad we don’t have R&P in stores yet.

That’s a good price on the Rain X but I’m afraid to use it after seeing what a mess this stuff leaves behind in the fluid reservoir 😬

I've never checked the reservoir really, would need a bore-scope to see it I think. I've almost always used Rain-X -40 to -50 WW.

Good deal on the oil. CT has Castrol Edge on sale and Castrol has a Rebate of $10 per jug (max two). The problem is they moved the " regular price" to $55 so the 30% sale price is an astounding $40 and then you take off $10 for all the effort to send in the rebate, and you still end up at $30. But, if you need to have Castrol, especially their Euro products, the rebate expires November 28.

Pennz runs those promotions twice a year iirc, I normally take advantage of them and max out, may be not for a little while now as I got a stash of LX and red jug oil :) The prices I paid were in $25-30 range with sale and rebate.

Ended up getting "All Weather" Rain-X at CanTire as the Walmart deal was shipped only. This is -47C which is probably "good enough".

-47C rated? Not bad.
I get windshield fluid at Home Depot, -40C rated, regular price C$3.66. We don't see temps below -10C here often, but even at -10 I had fluid rated to -30C freeze on me.

I also had issues with the -35 rated stuff leaving a thin frozen layer on a cold windshield even on mornings that weren’t super cold. I like the -45 stuff from Costco actually, in the 4 pack it usually worked out to about $3.25 per jug (I’m sure it’s a bit more this year though)

The Costco stuff is a good deal when there aren’t sales.
I agree that the -35 stuff leaves a frozen layer below like -20; need the -45/-50 stuff to keep the glass 100% clear.

I use the walmart deicer and sometimes notice a little frozen layer after use at 20 degree F. I wonder if it is from the tiny amount of summer blend that doesnt mix correctly??
