A sad Sunday AM. The waffle maker died. Now don't get me wrong, I am not super crazy for waffles, but sometimes when the hankering hits.........nothing else will do.

So, what are the GOOD waffle makers out there? What do you use?

Wal mart sells a GE model made just for them for about $35 and it makes nice evenly cooked waffles. It is a square Belguim type. Mine is 8 years old and is easy to clean as the grids remove.

We got a Cuisinart Belgian Waffle maker as a gift a good 13yrs ago. With the kids, it's got a lot of miles on it and works perfectly.. In fact, I'm going to whip up a batch right now!

Funny at the moment waffles are being made about a year ago we pickd up a cheap Oster model ckstwf40 looking right at it. Needed a new one a year ago after the 30 year old model went out was looking at some high end models online when walking by a clearance rack at Fleet Farm and this was their for about $15.00 dollars. U know this thing is great has a on off light simple easy to clean seems to make perfect waffles every time and did not spend a $100.00 dollars would get the same one in a heartbeat. BTW the kids love them and u cant beat the homemade maple syrup.

I have a Cuisinart round NON-Belgian maker (I do not like large depressions in a waffle). This has even heat and has worked very well for many years. It has been very forgiving of various recipe enhancements.

Just made some waffles with this stuff. Pretty good indeed. It was probably all the butter that had to be added according to the recipe... oh so tasty and so unhealthy, lol.

Also, the ingredients I added were supposed to make 3-4 waffles. It was barely enough for 2.

Indeed - we bought the same one about 6 months ago and it's excellent. Makes thick waffles and has adjustable timer. It has stellar Amazon reviews as well.

I just bought one after seeing this thread. I hope it works out well.
