Just a generic term for 'that which dissolves.' Perhaps 'detergent' is more accurate?

I've no idea what's in the stuff. Anyone?
 
nearly 200k on my accord in sig, orig trans and engine etc.
people sell vehicles cuz of issues they don't want to deal with or just loaded and buys new vehicle every x yrs.
when I was in the mrkt for a used car I went to test dr an oddy owned by a city lawyer. I puled the dip and no oil but a tad bit of blk sludge at the tip.

You could have them check the VIN but any mechanic familiar with honda's would notice the retainer...i have seen two types...
