Verizon Wireless Price increase w/Autopay

I have 7 phone lines so I always get either an AT&T or Verizon small business plan as it's so much cheaper than the general consumer plans. I wonder if those Verizon small business plans are affected by the price increase as when I used to have Verizon, I had gotten generous per line autopay discounts (see link below):

I have 5 lines on a Family plan. 3 are already on the myPlans (2 Unlimited Welcome and 1 Unlimited Plus). 2 are on Play More plans that are affected. I could switch one of them to the Unlimited Plus or Welcome and leave the 1 Play More to get free Hulu and Disney if I decide that is worth it. I only watch the Star Wars on Disney and they haven't had anything new lately and I don't watch Hulu a lot, so not really sure.
I checked Visible and I would really only save a few bucks a month so not really worth the effort. I am in a rural area so stuck with Verizon as we have a vacation property where AT&T doesn't work well.

Verizon business plans are about the same price from what I can see. $30, $40, and $45.

What is FIL?
When you say internal port to TMobile is that through US Mobile for international? I haven't much looked into it but have to soon.
Father in law = FIL.

Internal port means porting your number to a different carrier, ie VZW to TMob or ATT, or vise vera. Only takes 30 minutes or less to switch carriers on the US Mobile webpage. Even less time if you're using an e-sim. I switched (internal port) from vzw to Tmobile for international data and roaming, then switched back to vzw when I got back to the states. Didn't have to worry about other sim cards or different numbers. USM T-Mobile premium gets 10gb of international data. Worked flawless. Just need to give your phone 10-15 minutes in the new country to register and do its stuff in the background. Restart after 15 minutes and you'll be good to go.

Sorry just realized it’s SS. I drone on below about area codes…😆

It is really dynamic. Part of my $309 iPhone 13 Pro deal was had to be a new number. I let new and old go for a month to try to do a smooth transition and not forget anything.

I’ve had a 215 mobile # since 1999. There were none available. So for fun I selected a 312 area code as I love Chicago. When we picked up the phones it had a 445 area code. I said this is gonna be like Elaine and the 646, multiply by 3 and add one to the middle, no way I’m doing 445. When I searched for available numbers there were now plenty of 215.

Here’s where I noticed what’s available is constantly changing. You can look for patterns etc that you like. I changed it 2 more times to what I have today. Also, I got (for real) calls for a Tom for at least 1 year. Someone also texted me pics for his retirement party. A friend at work told me you should respond so they know the pics didn’t reach him, which I did.

Lastly, I FORGOT to update all my 401’s and retirement plans. It was no joke getting it squared away. Now I know changing a cell will affect 2-factor authentication….can’t just call them and answer challenge questions…

I feel you on this. For about 20 years I've been using my work provided mobile number. We ditched the landline in 2016 during the election. We still had one bank trying to call us at that number even though we changed our profile and listed both oilBabe and my cell numbers as the primary way to connect.

I decided about a year ago to get my own personal mobile number. The one I got from Mint has been pretty painless. The three month "test drive" let me see how much cruft would show up from that number. Once I signed up for a year of service I started changing banks, CC, and others as well as family and friends.

I also picked up a line from Visible so I'd have access to ATT, TMO and VZN networks. The Visible number is the one that seems to collect the most SPAM, so it's the one given to salespeople, etc, and that SIM is usually turned off, used only if TMO or ATT doesn't seem to be doing well where I'm traveling.

Yes, this is a wordy way to say it's no joke changing ones phone number.

With the MVNOs, one can test drive a few numbers and see both which service and which number works best.
