Valvoline Restore & Protect

I think he is nigerian who moved to USA. I doubt its available in Nigeria.

Looking at some of his other videos, he shows that his car was safely inspected by a company in Nigeria. Also ...

That Nigerian guy made a great video. Straight to the point, covered important topics and detailed how he came to his conclusions all in about 3 minutes. He just earned a sub!

He's got a lot of interesting comments about how difficult car care is in Nigeria. Lots of dust, bad fuels, hot weather, sometimes hard to source parts. Things I take for granted.

I’m a little late to this party. Didn’t ~quite~ read all 71 pages.

Would trying this in a flat tappet engine be ill advised?

That describes the southwestern US exactly.

For those in Canada who are still looking for this oil I have been told by a member here that it can be ordered from NAPA Canada (at least in Quebec) but only in a 5 gallon box (not sure of the price) I still believe it will be more readily available in Canada soon, Valvoline has a winner on their hands so I’m sure they want to expand where it’s being sold.

Thanks for the heads up @Patman. Happy I bought myself 8 jugs this past summer. Our $ has taken such a hit it would have cost me so much more. I am curious what Napa is charging though. May have to give them a call just 'cause.

Our dollar definitely makes buying oil in the US a bit more expensive before but I have a part time job now as a tour guide in Niagara Falls and a lot of people give me tips in US dollars so I spend that cash on my monthly cross border shopping trips 😊 I just wish VRP wasn’t so hard to find, even in the USA 🫤

I made two trips over the line. Once for 0W-20, 4 jugs for 4 changes. Another time for 5 jugs, 4 5-30, one 5-20. Both times I had to leave Walmart after clearing them out of the Fram Endurances I wanted, because they were sold out of V R&P. I had to head to Autozone. At least they price matched Walmart. Autozone wanted $10 USD more per jug then Walmart. I suggest trying to price match at Autozone.

Will be interesting to see how competitors respond to this product assuming it is as good as they claim. Do they RE it and incorporate similar technology? Or counter it with their own marketing by simply saying your pistons won't get dirty using our oil.

Because in reality if an oil can clean piston rings back to OE cleanliness and keep them that way with continued use, then it really is a groundbreaking product despite the criticism of the brand.

100%. Valvoline never really stood out to me before but after this hit, they sure got my attention

Will Rod Knock come back under a new name to rethink the failure it’s become? 👀
