Valvoline Restore and Protect now in 0W-16

I’ve also used Valvoline Restore and Protect 5W-30 in my Tiguan to see if it did anything about consumption.
Any improvement?
This is my first OCI with the Valvoline Restore and Protect 10W-40 in my GM Cruze 1.8L.

So far, no improvement for me, but early days, I’m only ~ 2.5k miles into my first run of Valvoline Restore and Protect.

Consumption is pretty standard at roughly a bit under a quart.

No, I'm pretty sure it needs valve stem seals. Once the weather gets warmer I'm going to go after them along with cleaning the intake valves and replacing the thermostat housing and water pump. And oil pan gasket.

Understood, thanks. The Valvoline Restore and Protect 5W-30 was definitely worth a try.

Big job. That's an impressive undertaking.

"Valvoline Restore and Protect 0w16". Sounds like the perfect oxymoron.
C’mon man … it has its place !

Perfect for Toyota hybrids.
I’ve run Valvoline Restore and Protect 5w-30 in my 2025 Sienna. I’ve run Valvoline Restore and Protect 0w-20 in my Sienna. Currently has Castrol Edge EP Gold 5w-30 for summer.

My engine doesn’t complain. Nor do I notice any meaningful fuel efficiency difference. Southern California weather.
