Valvoline Restore and Protect is in Canada!

I just spotted Valvoline Restore and Protect in a Canadian Walmart for the very first time! All three grades are $49.97 ($36.44 US) and these are in the slightly bigger 5L jugs as well.

The Valvoline Restore and Protect in the sump of my wife's Volvo went to Canada over Memorial Day weekend. Good to know it was still able to do it's job while there

I was beginning to wonder if we were ever going to see it in stores here! It has been available at the Valvoline Oil Change location a few miles from my place for over a year now and at that time I thought it meant that it would be hitting the stores soon after that.

I checked Canadian Tire and they don’t have it, which doesn’t surprise me since they don’t carry any other Valvoline motor oils. They do carry their gear oils and transmission fluids though.

It’s interesting that I even spotted it in Walmart today because I’m not really in the habit of venturing into the automotive section there since I buy my oil from Canadian Tire and Walmart doesn’t usually carry that much oil. But my oil nerd sixth sense drew me towards that area today

And hopefully it will go on sale a few times a year for $39.95 ($29 US), possibly for Boxing Day, Black Friday and when Walmart does their Anniversary Sale (which I think is late summer usually)

How so? That’s just a basic oil that doesn’t even come close to doing what Valvoline Restore and Protect can do. In fact I think in some cases the long term use of Supertech oils could be where some engines have built up carbon on their rings. It certainly isn’t what I would consider one of the top tier synthetics that do have a better ability to keep the engine internals cleaner in the long run.

Which Walmart? I checked a couple weeks ago at the one by the St. Jacob's market in Waterloo and it wasn't there. It's not on Walmart.ca yet either.

I'm picking up a new to us vehicle this weekend and would love to change the oil with Valvoline Restore and Protect.

This was at the Walmart in Waterdown. I will check a few others that I frequent and see if they have them too. I would suspect that a lot of locations will be stocking it right now, or at least within the next few weeks.

Napa has it listed online, but you can't buy it. Called the store and the fellow is looking into it.
