Valvoline Restore and Protect Fuel System Cleaner??

No PEA. A member here on BITOG works at Gold Eagle confirmed.

We speculate that the proprietary ingredient that is in the oil is in this cleaner. Check out the first few pages of this thread you will see some emails from them.
Thanks! I will.
I went briefly through all the thread pages but didn't read much. Mostly was looking for any PDS links.

This thread developed quickly as the other one about the Valvoline Restore and Protect motor oil.
I know that we won't find the substance that does the cleaning but did the chemistry guys already discuss the ingredients? And what makes this product different than the rest, besides the cleaning formula/secret? Is there any PEA in it?

CAS-No.: 64742-47-8 (Distillates petroleum, hydrotreated light - 80%)
CAS-No.: 64742-95-6
CAS-No.: 95-63-6 (1,2,4-Trimethylbenzene)
As discussed earlier in the thread, it contains the proprietary ingredient. There is no PEA in this.

If I remember correctly, we don't know if it contains "THE" ingredient but something more/as effective as PEA. Would love to see a shootout.

Here are some results from my Honda Accord 2010 K24 engine after one tank of Valvoline Restore and Protect fuel cleaner:

Cylinder 1 seems to have some extra carbon from leaking valve guide seals; the rest looks good to me. I’m surprised to see bare metal on pistons in many areas.

Do you have "before" pics? I'm guessing not.

Here's the post on it.

Of course we have no way of being absolutely certain it's the ingredient in the motor oil, but what do you think the chances are that Valvoline developed two separate, novel, revolutionary additives at the same time, one for motor oil and ATF, and another for the fuel system cleaner, and also decided to use the same name and marketing for both?

That doesn’t seem like anywhere near enough. I would imagine that they could sell at least 5 bottles a day per store, at least the ones in larger areas
It took me 3 times checking to get 2 bottles. Not very smart, Auto Zone is. When there are 4 to 6 of another brand right next to it.

Did you happen to take a photo? I went to 4 stores and they are all perfect. Id love to have a photo to send to our contacts at AutoZone.
Can you please tell AutoZone " I am really getting sick of going to pick up 2 bottles of Valvoline Restore and Protect Fuel Cleaner and the shelves are bare with their STUPID 2 bottle shelf limit."

Tell them once the competition has stock, I will not buy from their store as I got Jaded trying to buy it when they were the only one in town selling it with the STUPID 2 bottle shelf limit. See post above this one.

I just ordered two bottles of the Fuel treatment online along the oil filter and Valvoline Restore and Protect oil discount combo and got free FedEx shipping from Autozone.

I don't see why people couldn't just order the more than two bottles that they seek online as $35+ orders gets free shipping.

Funny thing is I ordered individual quarts for the oil rather than the 5 quart jug as I wanted to use up an open 5 quart bottle I have that I used before to top of with, and they made a mistake and shipped me 6 quarts.

Stores should now have displays on an end cap with at least 6 bottles on it in addition to the 2 on shelf to address this.

Stopped in my AutoZone last week and they had 6 or so on the shelf.

Saw this label while I was at Autozone this morning. None on the shelf, no info online and the counter didn’t have any tracking on it. Wonder what this stuff will be like??
I just got the last two bottle at my local AutoZone but accidentally found this online on Grainger.com and it's $2 cheaper than AutoZone but it says "Backordered, expected to arrive between Tue. Jun 09 - Tue. Jun 23".

Grainger - Valvoline Restore and Protect Fuel System Cleaner

But it is a good find if planning as it is 14% off from my local prices.

That's like getting $4 off a 5qt Valvoline Restore and Protect oil if you were planning on buying anyway.
