Too many variables. Especially with regards to maintenance regimen of prior owners. The majority of euro oils run clean so they don't generate deposits which is kind of the point anyways.Euro oils just not up to the task? Valvoline R&P to the rescue?

I find it hard to believe the deposit control of this will be seen in gf7 but I would love to be wrong. I don't think gf7 will be such a big leap from gf6 in that regard but I would love to be able to buy any whatever gf7 oil that can do r&p's job for much less. Maybe they'll integrate some of it but not all in the next revision.Valvoline Restore & Protect might be a API SQ/GF-7 formulation. It sounds weird saying like that, however, when we'll finally have lubricants with those specs available on the market, we can compare. This product might just be way too early to market, and Valvoline decided to market it differently under the current specifications.
It’s not. That suggestion has zero basis.I find it hard to believe the deposit control of this will be seen in gf7 but I would love to be wrong. As I also imagined. Aoap approved the gf-7 spec in March of 2024 but r&p came out in January of 2024 but it takes a few months to properly develop and thoroughly test it at minimum so there's pretty much no way that can be the case. It’s not. That suggestion has zero basis.
The have extended OCIs, neglect, laziness, and McDonalds for that.Automakers will be sad to lose sales from increased engine longevity.
It was a theory and then there is also API SQ coming up. Either way, Valvoline R&P is a heck of a product that actually does what it says it does.I find it hard to believe the deposit control of this will be seen in gf7 but I would love to be wrong. I don’t think engine longevity affects new car sales in any noticeable amount. People don’t often buy new cars because the engine wore out in their old car. Usually by the time an engine is worn out it’s already on its third or fourth owner and it’s original owner may have already bought 3 or 4 new cars in that time period.Automakers will be sad to lose sales from increased engine longevity.

Consumption or no consumption is also not indicative of oil quality. Rings were generally issue on Audi engines (more so than VW). Just because your rings are ok now, doesn’t mean you won’t have same issue soon.Ya sure, tell that to my Audi Q7 that used Castrol 5/40 Euro oil thru the Audi dealer on time every time from the start and ended up gobbling oil a rate of 1 Qt every 400 miles. Stuck oil control rings thanks to that great Euro oil.
Thanks to a Berryman's B12 piston soak and now running the VR&P oil, its not using any oil at all anymore on 3000 mile changes thus far. Next change on VR&P at 5000 miles coming up...
Worried about a lack of high polarity esters?I used Mobil 1 0-40 FS forever in all my Audis and still use it in my twin turbo V8 Mercedes, and the old 13 Audi A6 we have. Worked well over all the years. However, I see the formula has changes and the Esters are not there anymore. Makes me wonder how the new formulation is going to keep things as clean. Seeing the UOA's on the new formulation has me wondering how good the new M1 0-40 really is compared to the old stuff. With the old formulation the wear metals were great on my vehicles, but not liking the new formulation as well as the old FS for the wear metals now.
Ya same with my buddy's 2nd gen Audi TT with 200 k km, it's a real oil burner! Must be the same oil control rings that the bigger Audis also use.Ya sure, tell that to my Audi Q7 that used Castrol 5/40 Euro oil thru the Audi dealer on time every time from the start and ended up gobbling oil a rate of 1 Qt every 400 miles.
