Valvoline EP vs Mobil 1 EP

Valvoline ep isn't extended drain and uoas of it have been a bit disappointing. And it's too expensive for what it is even if the moly is high. I'd take m1 ep.

If you're looking for an oil to use in your truck I'd just use QSFS, it's d1g3 which is better than the necessary d1g2 and keep pics of receipts. You don't want to go beyond the drain interval in these new trucks. My 2021 and yours track everything including how often the service minder was reset and how often you go beyond the end. tire pressure. Wot events, fuel level, low oil level warning, and battery voltage to name a few get reported through the cellular connection even if you don't pay for it and they can always pull it even right now remotely if they wanted. I wish I could fully deactivate it but I can't.

It's not even the antenna anymore like it used to be. If it was idve done that 2 years ago. It's the entire cellular connectivity module that's built into it. It's ridiculous.

Both are fine oils but I'd choose Mobil1 EP....as Javier stated the Valvoline is not marketed as a extended drain oil.

I'm on the Valvoline train, but I am in warranty and can't go extended OCIs in my FB25DI with it, nor will I once out of warranty.

This info is stored in the ecu also. My obdeleven shows unbelievable amount of detailed information from oil levels, even lifetime average oil level, WOT events, lifetime average octane etc etc etc.
