Pricing is relative. Is it overpriced for an oil that you will run for 5000 or 7500 miles versus a ten pound rump roast for Sunday supper that’s finished that evening at three times the price?

From 1971 to 1977 i worked for Safeway stores. They would raise the prices for a while then lower them [ advertise a new low price of a sale] but the new lower price would be higher than the original price.

That still happens. I bought a TV from Walmart for my daughter's room a few years ago. A friend of ours bought the same TV on Black Friday and bragged about how much he spent/saved. I found my own receipt from 5 months before, and I paid $10 less than he did.

I was going to take advantage of this for the oil change I did today but when I went to get the oil yesterday they were all sold out of probably 90% of their 0W-20 oils in the store. I wound up going with Quaker State full synthetic.

Looks like Mobil 1 had quite a price swing last week...Monday the 0W20 was $32 at Walmart and Amazon. Saturday it was down to $26. Glad I didn’t buy it at $32...then again I probably spent the $6 dollars in savings on gas driving there.
