Valvetrain 2UZ 07 Land Cruiser

Time to do valve cover gaskets on my 100 series Land Cruiser. Was pleased to see how clean it is. 175k miles. First owner took it to the dealer about every 5k for the 125k, second owner was a 5k M1 and OE filter and I’ve continued that myself.

Looks great. Cam lobes are showing no wear.

Which M1? Just did a change myself on the 07 4R with the 2UZ -> OEM filter and M1 0w40 FS (though I just posted a thread today about possibly going to M1 10w40 HM).

Just the plain 5W30, these aren’t picky and I’m sure it would be happy with 0W40 too.

200-300k, easy, left in this engine. It’s the expense of gas that will limit its longevity.
