A lot of HVAC companies are being acquired by private equity companies which act like buzzards picking a corpse apart. Nothing good has ever come of this IMO. They are awful for customers and likely the techs there who try and upsell to make commissions/sales targets/etc. If you like your company
@Donald , keep them. If not, see if another option can slide in and take over for a service contract.
With my system, I'm not looking to cut open humans in my house. What I am seeking is a reduction of overall mold growth in my system and subsequent aerosolizing of the spores being spewed into my home. The coil and lamps being stationary should work for this targeted use. The dwell time isn't there for any viral/bacterial death, very true for residential systems. Solid filters and frequent changes of them will mitigate this assuming their packaging advertisement (Filtrete, etc) is accurate.
Had I had it to do again, I would NOT have gone with the systems I purchased. Apparently, the company was acquired by private equity and is a shell of its former self. One of the two systems is indicating "bulb failure," and the company will not warranty the device despite clearly being within the timeframe. ApCO isn't among the best companies I've had the pleasure of spending money with.
Highly recommended options from a trusted source: RGF or Ultravision
I wish I knew of these before I made the big buys I already did. Lesson learned.
