I'm relatively new to the iPhone, although I have found my way around after doing a lot of reading. I jailbroke my iPhone 4 and it's a lot more enjoyable to use now.

I'm currently running iOS 4.3.3 and there's an update on iTunes to version 4.3.4. I understand some issues to do with PDF were addressed, but I reckon there isn't much different otherwise.

That said, if I went ahead and updated the firmware, would I have to go ahead and jailbreak the phone again? Thanks!

Don't update, you can get the update through Cydia it's a simple PDF patch and that is all apple is sending out. If you update you will lose your jailbreak and jailbreakme.com will no longer work.

Thanks a lot for the information! I'll just go through Cydia in this case.

Right, there's actually a warning on Cydia NOT to upgrade to 4.3.4. It apparently cancels and disables the user from jailbreaking their phone again. Now I understand what Scorch meant perfectly well!
