I just read in the latest PM that the new Jeep small diesel requires synth.oil and 6250 mile oil changes. I wonder if the synth part is accurate. I would assume the new diesel oil is required due to the relatively low oil change interval and the fact it uses a particulate trap.
Jeep claims the engine is revolutionaru but sounds like the rest of the new gen of diesels. It is not yet 50 state cert. I think they call it Blue???? something.
