Just an FYI, in an emergency if your Condenser Fan Motor (not your issue) fails, you can put a powerful fan on top of your outdoor unit. Sealed with a few towels. It will work.

Also, your local HVAC repair company can probably source the motor. Worth considering as many newer HVAC units are poor quality with even worse support.

Curious, does the compressor still operate? i.e. the logic doesn't tell it there is no fan running? If I'm not mistaken, there can be scenarios where the fan doesn't need to run, supporting what you're saying.

OP here- the big local company (trane auth dealer)that we had come out was able to source a motor that for some reason did not show up in earlier searches...??..??..?? Anyways, they installed it for $377 and we have heat again.
