Now? No. Five years from now when the technology improves, becomes cheaper and the government will give me meaningful incentives to do so? Yeah probably. But those incentives better be GOOD FOR ME, and not punishments.

With the existing batteries, probably not.
But if solid state batteries are ever developed to be reliable and low cost than I say there's about a 50/50 chance. But I don't think that's going to happen in my lifetime.
Electric vehicles with solid state batteries as the main battery will be a total game changer when they actually happen. But when that is going to happen I have no idea.
