Lots of very dumb people walking the earth these days .
If you want or need a new car, what are you going to do?

Prices aren’t locked in either. Say you order and agree upon a price, but it takes a year to come in, you could be paying more than what was originally agreed upon.

BREAKING (Ferret News) - Man buys 2014 4Runner with 102,000 miles for $76,000 due to earthquake shortage.

I believe that this is more about chip production than anything else. Chip FABs don't do well with earthquakes. That is what happened after the 2011 Japanese earthquake disaster that stopped production for 6 months. This, in conjunction with the Renesys FAB fire last summer, has thrown a monkey wrench in chip production recovery.

I have mentioned before I have a brother in law that works for Ford . They have parts waiting to be delivered to their factory . No truck drivers , big shortage . Any available driver's can't pass the pee test . Wacky tabacky .
They need to hurry up and remove marijiana from schedule 1, this is ridiculous. If you can drink alcohol the night before driving a truck, you should be able to smoke a joint or pop an edible.

I think everybody should smoke pot and I mean everybody. Then I'll always be the smartest man in the crowd LOL

To each their own, but if you owned a big rig, would you rather have a non pot smoker driving it or a pot smoker?

That's just deflection, nobody thinks twice if a truck driver drinks alcohol in a bar when not on the road. Pot is less harmful than alcohol in every single way. I stopped drinking alcohol completely and started getting edibles from Massachusetts. Unlike alcohol there is no hangover the next morning, and it doesn't destroy your liver. And being high is more pleasant than drunk anyway. It makes zero sense that alcohol is legal and marijuana is not.

I never asked if you participated or not, but since you offered it up, is there something in your life that's awful that you have to spend a portion of it being high? I'm not a Puritan although my ancestors were, but I don't drink alcohol or drugs I figure life is short enough as it is I don't want a portion of it being a haze. And like I said before you can do whatever you want to do, but be aware of the consequences of doing drugs

Back when I was in high school (so like 25 years ago) I can vividly recall a pretty solid brain fog from getting baked and it could last significantly longer than a hangover. No, it's not the same feeling as a hangover, but it certain impairs one's ability to think clearly. I disliked that "detached" and "foggy" feeling so much my flirtation with pot was extremely short lived and I haven't touched it since.

Being impaired is being impaired, and regardless of what it is on, you shouldn't be operating a motor vehicle.

The truck driver shortage is due to poor wages, long hours and being away from home.
The trucker work force is an aging group, retirement is high and fewer young people are entering the field.
Drivers are finding life is too short and are choosing other career choices. The pandemic has changed things...

In this case, it is the classic supply demand curve; excessive short supply vs increasing demand.
You want truckers? Pay 'em.

Depends on the person and the strain I guess, I don't get that with edibles at least. I don't vape or smoke it, I like the slow relaxed nature of edibles.

Well all I know is what my brother-in-law was told at work they have parts they can't get them to the factories because the shortage of truck drivers is real and also it's real that a lot can't pass the test

Not particularly. I tend to partake more in the winter months. I find winter/cold weather and lack of sunlight depressing and there isn't much to do- so it helps with SAD and also makes relaxing after work more enjoyable when I just want to chill and play some games.

Hey that's your right I'm not judging you. You have to look at it as the owner's standpoint. No he doesn't want a drunk driving his truck and he doesn't want somebody that's high driving his truck . I imagine his insurance is based off of accidents and if those accidents involves drugs are alcohol. Hey I live in the country, nice and quiet. Maybe if I lived in the city I'd be the biggest pot smoker there is. I doubt it it's just not my personality.

The trucking industry is crying for drivers. Truckers have been treated badly for far too long.
Independents have been pushed out due to fuel prices, insurance, regulations, etc.

What do you expect? Kick a dog enough times and he will bite you.
