I am not big fan of 3cyl, but good move on Toyota.
Subaru struggled with previous model to deliver goods, and issues with engine in current one I guess were too much:

My kid had a current gen BRZ, and it was certainly NOT underpowered. Being a NA engine, it requires spinning to dip into the power, but there was plenty, and it was a very fun car. He sold it due to impracticality. It's very small. A nice car nonetheless.

LOL!!!..you have not driven the FA24 unturboed with 228 HP unit. I would not WANT any more HP. 5.4 seconds 0-60. Its a friggin rocket.
Very vew vehicles on the road can keep up with it. Center of gravity of the FA24 is 14 inches above pavement. Virtually No vehicles can out handle it.

My Corvette’s best 0-60 is 3.8 seconds and I still wish it were a little quicker. A friend who has a C8 Corvette has done a 2.7 second 0-60, that’s more what I would like to have

It depends on what you are used to. There are a ton of cars that can do a mid 5 second 0-60

And many more in the 4 second range. That doesn't include all the modded cars out there, which is very common with turbo cars these days, because they are so easy to tune.

I'm not going to sit here and list a hundred cars. If we're talking 0-60 only (which is dumb) even a 3.5 Ecoboost F150 is faster.
