We have 3 1NZFE engines in the family. I just recently did oil changes on all three and noticed some consumption on two of them.
The PCV valves were clean and the port on the intake manifold was clean, however ALL 3 VEHICLES had a clog in the PCV hose.
Check your PCV hoses for buildup! Don't assume a clean PCV valve means a properly working PCV system.
