hahahahahahahaha sorry i worked at sears for 2 years in the auto center and they weren't good to anyone, especially military.

Actually, I heard Sears was good to Reservists and Guardsmen called up to serve their country. My Naval Reserve unit commander told us Sears was stepping up to the plate with people he knew in other units. Care to enlighten as to your reasons to the contrary?

we didn't have anyone in my store that was in the military when i worked there, however before i was there people got deployed and were replaced. when they came back, their jobs were mysteriously gone. also the fact that i worked there 2 years and took them to the labor board 3 times for payroll discrepancies makes me lose faith in the company.

I think the benefits Sears was offering were noble but was more of an understated PR campaign. I'd bet an E-4 makes more when activated then they do at normal work at sears. In the Guard/Reserve you are promoted to E-4 pretty fast. MANY companies were offering the same benefits that Sears was.
