Tire recommendation for 2015 Toyota Corolla?

I'm wondering if anyone could recommend a good, affordable tire for my 2015 Corolla. Tire size is 195/65/15. Walmart would be handy for me, but I'll admit that I'm a little skeptical of their tires. I usually order online so I'm willing to do that and install locally. Basically I'm just looking for the most bang for the buck on a tire that will last a long while.

Edit: There's little snow in my area, but rain is an issue. I'd like to keep it under $100 per tire. Thanks.

Their Douglas tires are one of the better cheap tires out there. The Kumho LX Platinum is also good.

Walmart sells the same brands as everyone else. I wish my wife’s 2015 Corolla had 15” wheels. She bought one with the fancy 17” alloys, so tires are more expensive than they should be.

I would go with the Michelin Defenders which I believe have an 80,000 mile lifetime. I have used those on my Civic and am on the second set. I went over 60,000 miles before I replaced them.

Got them on the Audi, truck, Bike rear.

Being honest, your "most bang for the buck" requirement, kinda broad. It really depends on your budget to fit that requirement. My suggestion would be to go to the Discount Tire site and input the tire size and see the options available at different price points. I'd likely sort using low to high price from there. Fwiw, I've had some decent results in the lower priced tier with Milestar branded tires. Want to spend more, General RTs are popular here. Top of the line and most money, Michelin options.

Then if Walmart is your choice for sale and installation, just input tire you like on Walmart site, go from there. And tires sold by Walmart with the SAME model name like the General RT45s, same as sold at other tire stores. But, Walmart does sell majors branded tires with own model names made specifically for them. Same as DT does with Yoko tires. No idea if DT store in your area, if so they would be my first choice for purchase and after the sale maintenance.

Look for objective tests and comparisons and compare the results to your use case. Eg if you do a lot of highway driving, you may want a tire with less road noise. Without knowing more specifics, I'll say the Falken Sincera SN250 A/S are an excellent all around tire at a budget friendly price ($93 each on TireRack).

I have had several sets of Douglas tires from WalMart with no issues at all, even in winter weather. Also helps that they are made in the USA by Goodyear, not chinese like many others.

I did not not Milestar had 4 season tire.

I can add Cooper tires seem to be good bang for buck….

I sure like the General Altimax RT45. I have these on two vehicles and do very well in snow and last a good while. Very underrated tires.

I recently had Kumho radial tires on my 08 Acura TL before I sold it. They handle the rain really well and also minimal snow here also. Road noise above 80 mph was not the best. That situation might not be prevalent with speed on your Corolla.

YOKOHAMA Avid Ascend GT . Deep tread starting at 12/32s' . Have the H-rated . Many positive reviews of the GT that have them on their COROLLAs' at TIRERACK . Good luck and keep us updated on your decision . May want to wait until labor day weekend when more rebates are likely to arrive and lower prices .

Where one lives means everything. If I lived in the non snowy parts with little rain like in the SW USA, I'd want a nice quiet long lasting tire like a Cooper Endeavor. One thing I hate is loud tires on a small car when driving on the freeway.

I enjoyed very good service from Cooper CS4 tires in 205-55-16.
Smooth + quiet going and impressive longevity. No rain or snow complaints.
The CS5 GT is the replacement tire.
27,000 mi. over 3 years
I'd recommend them.

The last set of tires I installed on my wonderful 1999 Mazda Protege were Kumho Ta51a's. I'd buy again in a heartbeat. Look at the thread pattern and I'm confident in light snow they would do well. I'm very impressed by these tires. (I have the Kumho LX Platinum's on the Golf and these are fantastic tires as well. ) So, I guess it depends on your driving conditions.

And let's be frank, some people just beat the carp out of tires with bad driving.

On both Saab and Volvo sites, I was amazed by how many "I only got 15,000 miles from these tires.." posts thee were.

I had good luck with these on my '17 Soul+ since given to my daughter, along with an earlier set of Walmart only Generals at about the same price. Always had good bang for buck experiences with Wally-only tires, these two and some earlier Douglas's. All three will be on my shortlist come replacement time.
