timing belt on 14 yr old engine ?would u change it

And especially on OP's car with only 30k(?), depending on the condition of the coolant, I would leave the OEM wp on before going with a disgusting rebuilt.
 
Mebbe apples and oranges, but, I change the belt every 60 k miles / 4yrs. I replaced the pump on the 2nd belt change. It didnt feel any different than its brand new replacement. I have been using GMB water pumps for 10 years. They're Japanese. Also use a new tensioner, and if you're rich, new accesory belts
I spend less than 40$ on the pumps,I get them on the internet. I replace the pump as a matter of course when I "sort out" a new 88 528e. I havent had one fail yet.
