So the wife and I previously talked about our trailer trips getting a little "harder" each year. So we just completed a 1,700 mile three week trip a week ago. We got back-and put the travel trailer up for sale-priced for the present economy and it sold within hours. The wife has bad knees (looking to get them replaced) and is having a hard time climbing in/out of the Silverado. So-after selling the travel trailer we just didn't need the capabilities of the Silverado. The Ridgeline is very popular among Seniors for step in height and ride quality-while still having a truck bed. So got rid of the 2023 Silverado-and purchased a brand new 2026 Honda Ridgeline Black Edition-hopefully the last vehicle I purchase.

Congratulations! I would be driving a Ridgeline today if I didn't need the rear seat room of my full size.
I am sad to say I think it is time to get rid of my boat, a Searay 185 Sport inboard/outboard. Similar problems, I just am not using it enough. I bought it new in 2007, still runs great but little things are happening to it. On the other hand, my youngest daughter wants it, so I will probably just give it to her.
So, I also have a 2012 Ram 1500 club cab, short bed, 4wd, Hemi, power everything to sell.

Yep-it's the " non-truck" that has a bed!
Slightly different time in our lives, but we sold our 25' bunkhouse over a year ago. We had one son still coming out, but a lot of that space wasn't used. Between storage, maintenance, winterizing, etc. it was time to let it go. We did our Yukon/Alaska trip with the truck loaded up with tent camping supplies (10 person tent with cots for us) and it worked fine. There were a few campgrounds requiring hard sided trailers due to bears, but we had no problems in the tent. Can't say I miss the trailer and the associated work it brought.
The issue upon giving the boat to your daughter -I mean I understand it-but it will always be your boat and you will still get called with issues. I am going through that with my travel trailer-I wanted to be helpful so I gave the guy my number and said call me if you have any issues. Well the issues are they don't have a clue and haven't watched youtube videos like I told them to show them what to do. He called yesterday and didn't know you needed 30amp to operate the air conditioner....

I'm not one of those anti Ridgeline guys, I like 'em. I've had F150's for work for more than 30 years. But I'm a sports car guy. My wife is the truck person. The Ridgeline and maybe the Maverick is perfect for many due to being a great blend of car and truck.
I understand. After experincing a horrible example of the ten speed in the F150 I owned for a short time-I just couldn't bring my self to cross shop the Maverick-or the Ranger.
The Ridgeline has a front and rear swaybar-while no sports car it is a little more fun to drive than a half-ton!

We're heading in that direction as well. Just not using the trailer enough anymore. Have a few places still to go but thinking the end of next year might be time to at least downsize things. Best truck I've ever had, hate to sell it but there will be no need to keep it.

Our 5th wheel hasn't even been hooked up in a few years. I should send her down the road with new owners. I thought we would use ours a lot but it was mostly wishful thinking on my part.
We grow older and find that things we once thought nothing of doing are now difficult.
