OK, we did a bike ownership survey and the results were illuminating, so now let's survey what oil and filter you use and graph the results and see if there are any surprises. If you use a factory filter just say "OEM"

Remember, no judgemental comments UNTIL the results are in.

I use Rotella synthetic T6 5w-40 oil and Wix or Purolator filters for all my street bikes. Maxima Extra 15w-50 on my dirtbikes.

M1 15w50 and Purolator filter on the SV650S.
M1 5w40 and Hi-Flo filter on the Aprilia SportCity 250
Redline 10w40 (no filter) on my wife's Aprilia Scarabeo 100.
Decisions based mainly on cost. The 15w50 was a K-Mart closeout, the 5w40 was a WM closeout. The Redline was a Cycle Gear closeout, but I would use that oil in this bike regardless. That little air cooled mill runs hard, and is wide open a good deal of the time. With no filter, I wanted something with a little extra edge on wear, and that would hold dirt in suspension.

Mobil 1 EP 5w30 oil

Changing of the factory Toyota WS ATF is not listed in the maintenance schedule at all... which goes all the way to 120,000 miles.

Good question. I just posted about my Toyota Yaris without noticing what forum this was in. Oops.

2004 BMW R1200CLC Castrol 20W-50 and PureOne PL10241
2008 Suzuki GSX650F Valvoline 4 stroke MC 10W-40 and K&N 138

The next OC on the Beemer will be Mobil1 15W50 and I'll try RT6 5W-40 in the Zuke.

2006 BMW K1200R. I have gone from Redline Diesel 15w-40 to Redline MC oil. I use 3 quarts 10w-40 and top off (3/4 qt) with Redline 20w-50. I found it shifted smoother with the addition of the heavier oil. I'd like to go 5000 miles between changes on this mix. OEM Bosch filter.

2 500cc liquid cooled ATVs 15W40 Rotella dino - Fram/Purolator

Oil filters

1 quart Rotella 15W40, 1.75 quart of Havoline DS dino 10W40 and a Purolator filter on the SV650. The motor is pretty much bulletproof so I use whatever is left over/on sale and the clutch feels good
