Those with 150,000 miles or more, check in

2003 Corolla with 750000 km and 2014 Corolla with 420000 km. Both have Mobil 1 changed at 10000 km intervals.View attachment 249102View attachment 249103
(y) Awesome job by Toyota and you for maintaining them ! Mobil1 too. :) I realize there is some luck involved when we get things to last so long like that, but I am feel the owners/user plays a big part as well.

Looks like your home is slowly sinking, there on the left-side of the pic you provided. That high hill-side during rains sends water in the direction of your home / foundation.

Sorry, but I'm Intuitive and I noticed that first - before even looking at your rides. The oldest ride pictured is well maintained.

2000 Mercury Grand Marquis, bought used in 2003 with just under 30,000 miles. Now has 150,000 on odometer. No real bad problems, cracked plastic intake manifold about 8 years ago, and A/C fan control had to be replaced( big job required removing most of dash) Mobil one full synthetic 10w-30 since I bought it.

Had a 2002 Ford Ranger 3.0 Flex-Fuel V6 that I ran up to 200,000 miles. 5K OCIs. Most oil changes were at the Ford dealer using Motorcraft 5W20 Synthetic Blend and Motorcraft filters. A few other changes were done at my local Havoline Xpress Lube with Havoline dino oil and Havoline-branded Purolator filters.

Sold truck to my best friend in 2012, who drives about 50K miles a year. Odometer broke at 243,000 miles. Truck started rusting apart two years and about 100K miles later. He has since transferred the engine and transmission into two other Rangers and racked up another 150,000 miles. Engine and trans are currently sitting in a garage awaiting installation in yet another Ranger. He usually runs Warren oils and Fram filters.

We're both astonished that a Ford motor and transmission would go a half-million miles on just routine maintenance, but here we are.
And it ran that far WITHOUT synthetic oil, correct? If so, that may shock some people here :)

Yes, mostly synth blend. I forgot to mention that some mid-winter oil changes were done with Motorcraft Full Synthetic, which made for easier starts in very cold weather. Always 5W20.

The view down the oil fill port was spotless when I sold it at 200K miles.

Back in the '90s, I ran a Kia-built 1991 Ford Festiva to 239,000 miles on mostly Pennzoil Plain Yellow Bottle and some Motorcraft dino oil. 5W30 @5K OCIs. That motor was also spotless inside when I sold it and went on to top 300K miles.

Both vehicles were run almost exclusively on bulk tank oil while I owned them. Some people here on BITOG have some doubts about bulk oil, but I sure don't.

2005 Toyota Camry, 2.4L. 239K Miles. Usually do 5K OCI with costco or sale 5W-30 with WIX filters. Next 4 OCIs will be using Valvoline R&P to try it out.

<1QT Oil burn every 5K OCI, no real issues with powertrain.

Back in September, took my car on a 2k mile roadtrip. Visited the salt flats and hit the limiter when the car had 232K miles. Made it back home no problems:).

I've never seen a camry go that fast!

200k on a Civic with the R18. Owned since new. Used mostly Motorcraft 5w-20 synth blend and Purolator P1s at first, then when Motorcraft got greedy, switch over to SuperTech / Kirkland full synthetic 0w-20. Sometimes Bosch filters until they got expensive, sometimes P1s if I found them for a good price, Honda OEM filters, Fram TGs. I usually change it around 6000-7500 miles when the OCI gets to 20% or less. I did run it to 0% once. Essentially zero oil consumption ever in its life since new. I've never added oil between changes because it never needed it.

Did a valve adjustment a while back, maybe around 140k. Engine had zero varnish.

2016 F250 6.2 Gas- bought around 160k and no idea what it had before but probably quick lube maintenance based on the window sticker. 194k now and using Schaeffer 9000 5w30 somewhere between 10 and 20 percent on OLM

My parents have a 2004 Taurus with a 3.0 Duratec bought at 12k miles now sitting around 425,000 miles. Original engine and transmission. Castrol GTX 5w20 every 3-5k miles.

My wife has a 2003 Mitsubishi Eclipse GTS with a 3.0L V6 and a 5 speed standard trans that she bought new 21 years ago. It has 161,077 miles, and other than routine maintenance has been essentially trouble free - just a clutch replacement and a corroded gas inlet pipe. The engine has had no issues, starts instantly, and runs smooth and powerfully, delivering the Vroom Vroom that she loves.

It has had a steady life-long diet of Mobil 1, and a flashlight through the oil fill hole shows only clean metal with zero sludge or varnish, as do our other vehicles using Mobil 1. That's especially good considering she logs only about 1-2,000 miles a year since she retired nine years ago, mostly less than five mile trips to town, and I change the oil every two years.

I don't know the reputation for this car and engine, but our experience is really good.
