Oh I'm not bashing you because you think he's right. I'm bashing you because you came on here stating an unequivocal truth when you have nothing to back it up.

You are free to believe it all day long.

Okay, we have a sample size of 2 that may have varnish. Can you to point to any other such reports? If QSUD causes varnish there must be dozens of other BITOG examples.

Ok back in topic once again; there is no "better/best oil". End of discussion as this has turned into comparing Apple to a orange. Sheesh

For god sake he has varnish. Don't use it M1 is a good choice.

He posted an anecdote. It's not a scientific experiment. But, at least he posted his opinion on the matter. And he'd probably be willing to post pictures if we pestered him enough. But, he's not making a blanket statement. He's posting what he experienced, and he explains his rationale.

Since you got here, you haven't posted together more than two or three [meaningless] sentences in a post. You've offered nothing helpful. You bash products - that's all you do. I suggest you reread the rules here and decide whether or not this really is the place for you.

There's a reason companies like Mobil prefer not to use customer testimonials. And your quote demonstrates it. XOM would want nothing to do with your "help."

Please, take the sockpuppet off while typing your far fetched gibberish.

Oh Lord... one of these. I don't think Mobil 1 oil will give you any better fuel economy over any other decent oil. I know oil weight affects fuel economy slightly, but oil brand doesn't in my opinion... if it does, the difference is so small that it's not noticeable. I've not experienced any MPG differences in my vehicles whether running conventional, blend or full synthetic.

Iirc, Pennzoil states the 50% on the bottle. But where does the Motorcraft 60% come from?

My Ford dealer told me the Motorcraft is 60% synthetic & I've seen multiple people here on BITOG state the same. It's 60% Group III+ synthetic & 40% Group I. Yes, Group I unfortunately. But the 60% Group III+ kind of makes up for it. I'm assuming Pennzoil Gold is 50% Group III+ & 50% Group II+, so perhaps it's the better oil of the two. I assume Gold is 50/50 Platinum/PYB.

Are you KevGuy incognito?
I put a few racing decals on my back window and my butt-o-meter felt an instant 3-5 horsepower increase!
