I picked a local body shop with an excellent reputation, that just happened to be a "preferred shop" with the insurance company that is paying the bills. I think that really helped the process along.

I just met with the insurance adjuster, and he's willing to spring for a new $835 fiberglass lid for my truck. He decided that it just wasn't worth spending money on a questionable repair on a damaged fiberglass lid.

I'll just need to get it ordered tomorrow.

So, do you keep any of the old parts such as the bed lid? I mean it's not worthless just not perfect.

I would assume that the old bed lid will belong to the insurance company once it is removed from my truck (and they'll tell the topper dealer to destroy it).
