Essentially you'll never recoup your money invested in the hybrid, since the batteries will cost $3000 bucks every 100,000 miles.
I'm sure there are tax incentives and you could work the numbers a little different to somehow justify the purchase. But looking at $3000 to replace the batteries just sucks. Especially if you planned on taking the car out to 250,000 miles, which would mean
two battery replacements for a total of $6000. And for those who think the battery replacement costs will come down in the next few years...don't count on it.
